Old faithful.

47 years ago my parents bought me this for a special birthday. I didn't especially want an electric sewing machine as I'd never used one before, I'd always made things by hand. However it has proved to be one of the most useful pieces of equipment I've had. I started off making dresses, trying to keep up with the fashions (mini skirts etc), then made the dresses for my bridesmaids, and my going away outfit. Next came outfits for our three daughters,party dresses, fancy dress outfits etc.etc.Now it is really only used for making curtains,for all the family. It has only been serviced once about two years ago. I wonder if modern machines will last as long?
