Teasel

Pretty tired today after a night of humungous thunderstorms with continuous sheet lightning and flashes. The worst of the storms passed by the Island, so there was no reported damage or flooding but a spectacle not to be missed. You may have seen a local photographers stunning picture on the front pages of several newspapers.
Being a coward I didn't dare venture out in it armed with a metal tripod.

Today was hot and humid so it was not until the relative cool of the evening I managed to go for a walk up on the Downs amongst the wild flowers. I love the shapes of Teasels and photographed this one against the shadow of a tree for a black background.
