My day in bracelets

I fell asleep doing this blip last night, so I will give it a go again today. .....
We played the bluegrass festival. I was a bit nervous as we are not typical bluegrass. Now I like bluegrass however, a whole day of it would start to make my eyes glaze over. I liked to think that We provided the welcome change.
They liked us at Jolene and Stripes........(see AST someone liked it) but what won them over? Richard Thompson's Vincent Black Lightning 1952.
There was a murmur of approval. You always want to hear that. When they called us back for an encore, Dimming of the Day was a great choice. Yes thank you Richard Thompson.
Now we have had the conversation about him Ingrid thinks he is English and I say Scottish. Either way he helped us out!
I am wearing the green bracelet identifying us a performers, my fitbit, and my moms watch. (I can't bear to change the band yet knowing she wore it) and it is over my tattoo. I have blipped the tattoo before and explained the meaning. So skip this part if you have read it before.
Once upon a time there was this crazy redhead who was sick. Really sick. To get better she had to give her body over to IVs with chemo and she made a vow. When it was over she would claim her own body back. Well that redhead is me and I felt claiming my body back for me was a healthy and healing thing to do. A tattoo had always been so taboo for me. I mean the whole good girls don't get tattoos thing is over now. Besides, I have spent a lot of years being a good girl, I was due, it was time.
When I picked out the symbol, my band members were on board (well except one) and we all sport it proudly. I was 55 when I got this tattoo. I have no remorse and it makes me a bit badass. Yup that's me badass. I am amazed at the response to it. Men like it much less than women. Or at least they say say they do......

Either way, I was too afraid and had no time to blip from the stage so.....this was it. It summed up my day. The future, the past and the now. Hmmm which one is which?
So this is late good morning to us and the sweetest of dreams to those down under !
