TdF Stage 14: Red and Black

I like red and black cycling jersey colours. They are bright and distinctive, and yet classy. Team BMC ride in red and black so they are easy to follow on the tv.

I am hugely impressed by their young American rider, Teejay Van Garderen. He is now lying 5th overall and put in a fearsome climb up the last mountain in the Alps today.

he had some nasty falls earlier on and lost a lot of time. I wonder whether, if he hadn't suffered those misfortunes, he wouldn't be even higher up the leader board.
