Cuddling up close

Heavy summer cold means can't get too far from home. But there is almost always something new in the garden.

These Japanese anemones are a great joy as they continue to flower until September. In another part of the garden a large bank of white ones has been having a three year battle with yellow loosestrife. The loosestrife is winning. It is good value but next year I shall give the anemones some help so that they don't disappear altogether.
