Midsummer music and crepes

We packed everything into the car easily and headed back North on fairly quiet motorways. We stopped for a picnic on the way at a pretty lake - much nicer that the usual motorway rest area.

We found the hotel in St Malo, checked in and then headed out for a walk around the old town. We haven't been there for a long time and it was nice to wander around the ramparts. There was a midsummer music festival in the evening - different bands and groups in each little square. We found a creperie in one of the squares and had a nice meal of galettes and then flambed crepes. After a quick tour of some of the other musicians, we headed back to the hotel in the balmy dusk.
