watching The Americans

i've been watching, or rather, listening to  The Americans while i work for the last two days - so today's quick lunch came about because i saw some lumpfish roe in the village shop.  i've been thinking about doing a 'from the village shop' recipe thing for some time.  we need to support our local shops.

i love caviar, and am sad to confess that lumpfish roe is nothing like it.  it's a 2nd cousin many times removed....but dress it up and use your imagination and it's ok!

however, Radish was not fobbed off.
