There's no point keeping things in boxes and never using them. 'Use it or lose it' they say.
This is a canteen of cutlery presented to my grandfather on his retirement in 1936. Those were the days before kitchen suppers took over from posh meals in the dining room. Yesterday we used it for a posh meal in the dining room!
