Glastonbury Day 4 - Kasabian
Much fun on the stall today when a performance act turned up and started chanting the stall's name over and over, turning it into a song. Hard to describe, but so fun. It was basically one man, who had gathered a huge crowd of festival goers, and got them all singing along. The singing went on for a good few minutes, culminating in him (with them all repeating the words) asking for a "teeny, tiny - very valuable - gift...." He hinted that he'd like a watch, so once they'd all got down on one knee and covered their eyes ("no peeping!"), my sister selected a watch and gave it to him. He then got her to pick out somebody elsewhere in the circus field, and the whole group moved off to present the gift to the man she chose. (I stayed behind on the stall, but apparently the whole thing continued, with the group requesting something from the man who was given the watch, for them to then go and give it to someone else - and so on. Brilliant!)
Went over to the John Peel stage in the evening to watch London Grammar. I had to cut through the massive Kasabian crowd to get there - and caught a few songs on the way and on the way back. They were brilliant! I hadn't really been bothered about seeing them, but I'm glad I did get to see/hear some of their set. The atmosphere was fantastic - everyone singing and dancing along.
Got back to the stall around midnight, and carried on selling for another couple of hours. Fun evening!
