Such a good day. Started early with a train ride to Brompton Cemetery Open Day. First stop was a coffee at Stella's where we spotted a very old hearse going past! "What do you have at a cemetery open day"? I hear you ask. Well, tea & cake, subscriptions to online burial records, coffin furniture, vintage mourning wear, scouts, jewelry, face painting, balloon modeling, birds of prey, bags, calenders, books, intended plans, tours of graves and mausoleum etc. a real mishmash in fact.
James Shackleton undertaker seemed to take a great interest in us, nothing was too much trouble. He even asked me to take photos of him on his own camera... a real friendly guy!
Back to the plot (funeral pun), we then went to Postman' s Park. Some very touching ceramic plaques.
Lastly a stroll around st Paul's, then back home on the tube...Totally knackered!
The blip I spotted in the coffee shop loo... an extra from Dr Who perhaps?
