the Gruffalo....

....why didn't you know? He has terrible tusks and terrible claws, and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws!

Today didn't go as planned. The pinks were supposed to go to the soft play place for lunch and an adventure through our own deep dark wood full of swings and nets and plastic balls, but shortly after we arrived, a poorly Master Pink refused, not only his Tuesday treat of chips for lunch, but actually ASKED to go home. So back in the car (it isn't pink it's red, and called Ruby) and home to the sofa and snuggled under the pink spotty blanket we read and watched the wonderful Gruffalo, by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. If you haven't read it, you should, it's a brilliant story and hurrah for the little brown mouse when he finally gets nut.

The mouse saw a nut ...and the nut looked good.
