Measuring feet the modern way

So my eldest and I went shopping today. She needed new school shoes as the ones she's had we're falling apart after 2 years. ( her feet have stopped growing sort of). But I thought just to be on the safe side just get her measured. Well I wasn't expecting another tablet type gadget thingy to do the job. It was even far too hi tech for the poor shop girl as she had to get second opinion. In the end we left shop without buying new shoes. They didn't have her size. And they don't do it ever it stops at 6 and a half and she's a 7! And also she didn't like what else that was on offer. The unfortunate thing my eldest has narrow feet like me and it's very difficult. I can justify paying a bit more for her to have the right shoe to fit her for everyday wear.

Apart from the headache of shoe shopping we did have a good time together shopping. She got some new summer wear for holidays and camp and treated ourselves to a McD afterwards.

Tomorrow it's my day with Lucie. Heading for Greenwich. Looking forward to it.
