I'm sure you've all been waiting with baited breath to see how my finger nail decoration - see my blip of 30/12/09 - has held up to the stresses and strains of almost one month's life.

Pretty good huh? Now, I don't work in a coal mine or a kitchen (although I do cook and wash up from time to time - all without rubber gloves, protective creams or a safety net), but the result is nevertheless impressive.

I doubt that many women leave their nailcare unamended for so long as this, so I thought the data my be valuable to cosmetic science.
