Leaping Birds Sculpture Walton on Thames

We set off early to take Jack to Walton upon Thames as he starts a 6 week work placement in Surbiton with an oil company tomorrow.
After we had safely deposited him with a really welcoming family we set off home but stopped outside a huge span of empty offices and gardens where I spotted this sculpture. Ive just checked it up and it is outside offices which are Grade 2 listed - Walton court, the former offices of Birds Eye then Unilever- flamingoes and penguins were kept by the company to entertain employees !The statue and offices were one of the first out of town offices to be built for a major company.Geograph Walton on thames : former birds eye offices at Walton Court

Dodging traffic on the M3 we came back near Hungerford and found a brilliant community pub where we had a roast dinner in the sunshine. Visitors tomorrow so a spot of overdue house cleaning when we got home!
