Chippy

Since I'm off the bike for a few weeks, I met K for hike around a local park. There was one spot that seemed to be a local feeding zone, with loads of fairly tame chipmunks and squirrels. On our second pass through I was kneeling down to lure a chippy when a chickadee flew up and landed in a bush nearby. I held out my peanut-filled hand and held my breath. After a couple of test swoops, he landed on my hand, took a peanut and flew off!! We had both frozen and didn't dare lift a phone or camera, so I didn't get a picture of it, but it was the most awesome thing ever!!
