First shoes

As someone is now on her feet a lot, it seemed a good idea to get her some proper footwear. Today we went and had her feet measured in Clarks, and came out with these little cruiser shoes - 3 1/2 F fitting. It's very sweet because nowadays the shop takes a photo of the occasion and you get a little certificate as a keepsake. As you can see, I tried to arrange the shoes to take a nice commemorative photo, but someone got interested in what I was doing and came along and snaffled them! :-)

Good old Clarks, I have fond memories of going to have my feet measured for new shoes as a child. Mum would only allow us to have 'proper' shoes from Clarks while our feet were growing. No cheap fashion shoes for me or my sister much to our disappointment! I do remember my sister getting 'magic key' school shoes which were really exciting...
