a beach day

Doesn't really look like a beach day, does it? With the monotones and all? I was fooling around with my new camera, an OM-D EM-10 to see what it could do with the water and sand using some of the in-camera art filters.
I have a few more selections here if this film noir look on the beach appeals. I don't know what kind of criminal activity this bird could be up to, but that's what the style of this looks like to me.  

Phew! Sorry to have been missing a few days. I'm happily catching up now. When I'm tired, sometimes it is difficult to choose a photograph to represent the day. Finally, I settled on this one and now have a couple more days to add, tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for your visit!
