Experimentation in the sand

Another cold bleak morning and a Blip Buddy and I went to Little Kaiteriteri beach to see what we could find. I wanted to try to understand 'shallow depth of field' a bit better so grabbed a few of the grand-children's toys to use as as props. They worked beautifully adding a contrasting focus point to the shot. I think the final result looks almost like the real thing and feel I am getting to grips now with using this mode. Lovely granular golden sand at the beaches in our area help make the shot.
