A Sunday Drive
After a nice lunch with family after church, we decided to take a drive down the coast. It was a very nice day with just a few clouds. Our first stop was the Bandon Cheese Factory. Had to sample some of the different cheeses, then bought a bag. Then a stop at Cranberry Sweets. They always have samples also, so indulged in a few sweets, then bought some Almond Brittle and taffy.
We drove down by the dock and enjoyed watching the seagulls and just enjoying all the sights. We then drove down by the jetty. It was so pretty with the blue sky and scattered clouds. In the collage I added a picture of hubby by a carving of a fisherman with a fishing pole. Of course he was wishing that he was out there fishing. There were lots of seagulls each place we stopped.
I took a picture of the Bandon Boatworks sign with the lighthouse across the bay. A little farther and we stopped at "Facerock". Look closely and you can see a head with what looks like a face on the right side.
We drove down past Langlois and hoped to stop at the Market on the way home to have one of their famous "hotdogs", but were about 5 minutes too late so will try again another day. Ended up driving to Charleston and having a wonderful sandwich at the Seabasket with the best french fries you can have. Then home and a short visit with neighbors "anniescottage" and her "Contraptioneer". (Younger daughter and her hubby.)
All in all a wonderful, relaxing day.
