Cat spotter

Whilst returning to the kitchen I noticed Hector walking v slowly and deliberately towards the gate. I thought he'd hurt himself, but then realised he was stalking the cat in the front drive.
Normally he goes out barking and all guns blazing when there is an intruder. Not so it seems!
He now scares off starlings when he hears them start to squabble and loves chasing swallows on the village green when they swoop low. Thank goodness he catches neither.
