Commonwealth Day in Shetland

So the batton has arrived in Shetland and made it's way North through Scalloway and Aith, it jumped onto the Aith Lifeboat and was whisked over to Brae where our school gathered along with all the other schools from the North Isles and North Mainland to see it.
We all enjoyed a fun day which was made all the better by the glorious sunshine.
The kids took part it lots of events and I was along as a parent helper.
When the Batton arrived the kids were all suitably excited, unfortunately for the gent who was doing the second lap of the field Commonwealth Clyde arrived which caused a hysteria among the kids equal to that of Beetlemania. High - fives and hugs were the order of the day and went down brilliantly.
