Small Tortoiseshell
What a glorious day it's been! British summertime at its best. Today I spent a good few minutes skulking around a neighbour's buddleja in the hope of capturing a lovely butterfly. (Blipping often seems to involve skulking, bending, crouching, or lying down in random places and this is definitely part of its appeal). As soon as I arrived there was a mass exodus (naturally) and all winged creatures appeared to have left the area (typical!).
Thankfully I spotted this little one resting on a bush.
