We are the Champions

Today was the wee nephews 6th Birthday. Amongst other presents he got a great football that I can fizz (he can barely kick it as it's a full sized ball) and (finally) the 2nd goal to make up the set in the garden. After an hours penalty shoot out it was me and the little un v Daddy. Hardly a match to be fair. Well no offence to Daddy but when he was 10 and we played round the park every afternoon (as kids should do) then when we were 16 and played in the same team up front together he was rubbish. If he spent more time honing his skills in the garden and less time looking like the milky bar kid the score would have been slightly closer tonight. 10-4. Embarrassing to be honest but I'm happy for the little lad. Next weeks competition? We're going up a league and taking on Fred the Tortoise. Happy Birthday to a top little chap.
