Life on the Good Intent

I bought a climbing rose because I had it in my old garden, but I got the name wrong. The Nursery man shook his head and told me it was a martyr to black spot but he ordered me the two plants I requested.
Of course he was right and I was twice wrong, my rose was pure white with the darkest green shiny leaves and blooms that opened slowly from the most perfect small buds.
Not this - but it flowers in profusion from June to November even if the foliage is savaged by brown marks.
Dead heading and cutting back the unsightly branches I had to sacrifice a few flower heads. They will last a only a day, it's not a good cut rose with little scent but still a thing of beauty.
I should add the second plant died after two years - now if I can only remember the correct name for my white rose.
