On a Clear Day....

The Merrick is the highest hill in southern Scotland and from the summit cairn today southern Scotland and more unfolded.

Ireland, Mull of Galloway, Kinytre, Ailsa Craig, Arran, Ben Lomond were all clearly identifiable.

I have to say it was hard work on the exposed hill under the almost constant sun. The term mad dogs and Englishmen ......came to mind.

Later a cool beer in The House of Hill Hotel went down a treat.
