first chimnea of the summer...

...what a disgrace. being busy is fine, but then you realise how many of the things you usually love doing that you've been missing...and that the kids aren't getting to do either and that's not good. like being in a boat in collieston harbour...or playing in sandend beach...or sitting round the chimnea in the back garden watching the bats when we all should be in bed.

I went back to work today...and realised quite quickly that rather than painting for a craft fair all last week, I should have been out at the beach with the kids. we did do it one day, but not for long enough. bleurgh.

oh well, lesson learned, still lots of summer left. we get our beaut of a van back this week, so that will be the thing that gets us back to the beach, and to belladrum, then ullapool. cannae wait.

I painted some stones last week too.
