We woke to a severe frost this morning, -4 degrees C! It was foggy and freezing.

Up the hill behind the farm there are places where the sun never reaches in the middle of winter, so frost freezes on frost- known as a hoar frost. This photo of our creek shows how cold it is. Splashes of water from the creek freeze on the side of the bank, producing these beautiful icicles.
