Dungfest
This afternoon we went for a short easy walk just over into Devon, along part of the disused canal. Unlike many areas recently we’ve had very little rain so most of the canal was dry and grown with reeds, sedges and lots of meadow sweets with just a few damp patches. A fair selection of butterflies and also flies, the biting sort, so we didn’t linger long. Returning to the car just in the field opposite Gofer noticed these green veined white butterflies feeding on this dung.
