My sister in law said she is taking the carpets to be washed, and I tagged along. I thought she was either taking them to the laundromat to be washed in a big industrial machine, or to be drycleaned. To my surprise we went to a place in the open with a large number of big wash basins with planks over them, and people were scrubbing carpets and then hanging them up to dry. Hard work, so I mostly wandered around taking pictures of the beautiful houses next to the washing place. I think Earthling is going to post a picture of the sisters doing the hard work.
