Peregrine Falcon

So lucky to spot this today.

One of a pair of breeding Peregrine Falcons.

Nesting on Lincoln Cathedral.

Evidently they have had chicks too.

Very high up on The Central Tower.

271 feet in height.

Near the top.

Very well camouflaged.

Must be a very safe place to make a home.

But rather risky for the chicks.

Their first flight must be very nerve racking.

Both for the chick, and the parents.

Three chicks this year.

Two have taken a tumble from the nest.

Been rescued by RSPB volunteers and returned to the tower.

I wish them well.
