A Green Wall

Another beautiful day and I needed to buy some new cushions for our lounge. We decided to check out the new big M&S and John Lewis stores on the outskirts of York. They are both eco-friendly buildings.

The new M&S was environmentally built with no waste sent to landfill during construction. Eco features include a 60,000 litre tank that recycles rainwater, reducing the store’s water use, and two green living walls, totalling over 1,800 sq ft, designed to attract wildlife and retain heat. I was very impressed.
