This bird in a cage was actually pleasing to see! As the door was open, and it was a wooden bird. Sadly though last week the government here have re-legalised finch trapping for a season this autumn. Finch trapping was made illegal several years ago, as a condition of Malta joining the EU. But allowances keep getting made and derogations set up to appease the hunting and trapping community.
