Leftover moth
It's been a difficult day for photographs as I was at the funeral of a wonderful colleague and friend in North London and didn't get home until the light was fading. However, as I was fiddling about with my moth trap with a view to running it tonight, I discovered a moth still sheltering in a corner - certainly a bit the worse for wear, but capable of recovery. I was overjoyed to find it was a species so far not recorded in the garden - a Small Angle Shades. After a brief photography session it was released to join its mates - well away from the house, as I really don't want to catch it again tonight!
