Maid in Cornwall...
We were a bit taken aback this morning when we woke up to a cloudy sky and some light rain. Isn't it funny how quickly you take good weather for granted?
We kept the faith though and sure enough by midday the clouds gave way to blue sky and the sun shone brightly.
Ele & Kenny headed to the Eden Project (I struggle to cope with temperatures above 22 degrees so decided the Eden Project wasn't for me) and D and I headed for Mousehole, stopping at Marazion for lunch in the Godolphin Arms Hotel. At last David got the fish and chips he was craving last night (a saga still to be back blipped!)
Drove into Mousehole and got parked right on the harbour. Opened the car door and the blast of heat was amazing. Visited a couple of little galleries, lingering longer in one purely to enjoy the lovely cool temperature. I'm sure we got the poor man's hopes up for a sale. I did make a purchase in another shop. A little cushion for the Gin Palace :-))
Back into the blistering heat and the next stop was the ice cream shop. Sat over-looking the harbour perspiring heavily glowing and enjoying the delicious Cornish Ice Cream.
Back to the holiday house with just enough time to freshen up and then head back out for my second blip meet of the Holiday.
I have long been an admirer not just of Carrie's Blip journal, but of Carrie herself and was so excited when we were able to snatch some time together to have dinner and a chat. She is every bit as lovely in real life as she comes across in her journal.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy life to meet up Carrie. Hope we can get together again sometime either in Scotland or Cornwall xxx
