Sunset Bales

Another one in the harvest 2014 series. Yesterday we had the combine harvester, now today we have bales at sunset. This is the part of the harvest that I was more involved in when I was younger.

I worked for 3 summers for a Contractor and Straw Merchant, so I spent my summers travelling around Yorkshire and occasionally further afield stacking bales and then loading them onto wagons. The days were long, but I really enjoyed the time.

I found this picture a bit tricky to take with shooting towards the sun and trying to keep the foreground detail. Had to use two grads to try and balance it.

I wonder whether tomorrows blip might be harvesting related?
