Beetle Drive

Decided to go to the Horse and Jockey this evening and these two cars pulled in whilst we were there. We had a chat with the three enthusiasts who arrived in the cars (third car still being renovated) and learn't a little about them. The green one is a 1958 model and was imported from South Africa. Coming from a warm, dry climate it still has its original body and has no rust or welding. Had it come from the UK most of the body panels would have been replaced by now.

Gill was particularly interested because she owned two Beetles back in the 1970's - even sat behind the wheel of the green one.
