Porty People and Places
Inchkeith Island floating on a raft of Scottish Haar
Fish and Chips on the harbour wall at Port Seton this evening afforded us this view of the summery Forth Estuary.
Driving home as the sun began to set at 2130 the temperature was still a staggering 23 degrees. Visitors to our beautiful city are getting a very false impression of what our weather, even in the summer, is really like!
I suspect tomorrow will be another brilliant day and then the Haar will get a grip and make us pay. I hope it holds fair for all the fun and games that begins tomorrow in Glasgow. That city has put in an incredible effort to welcome The Commonwealth to is door. I will be joining the billion others in front of my TV tomorrow evening for the opening ceremony!
