The Bride---And Others--Wore Tennis Shoes

Because of congenital birth defects, the bride should never have been able to walk down the aisle. After much prayer and many surgeries, she walks, with pain, much of the time. She does not wear shoes, other than tennis shoes---not even for her wedding. So, she and her attendants all wore beautiful, sparkly tennis shoes---and some of us, as guests, did so as well, in tribute to her beautiful uncomplaining spirit. So, the sparkly shoe here belongs to her maid of honor and the plainer ones, to my husband and me. I knew I'd find somewhere to wear those five dollar Fubus with the sparkly laces!.....
