Dry Stream Rain Garden

I was in an ordinary shopping center and noticed what an interesting rain garden someone created with the planting bed. When it rains the area floods, but the ground holds the water and it will slowly percolate into the ground and sustain the plants nearby. Rather than spill out onto the highway, the water will be contained and help to eliminate pollution run-off. What a neat idea!
