Dragonfly Light

Worked today then went to dinner with the hubby. Sushi AGAIN, only this time we went to Chef John. It was very good. We are very full.

Had a first tonight...... We tried barnacles!!! We were done with our dinner and Chef John says "Do you want to try barnacles?? I will cook them up for you" Uhhh.... I didn't know you could even eat barnacles. So, we thought, why not, be adventurous. One of the servers says it tastes like lobster. Well, THAT would be good! I love lobster. What I ate did not taste like lobster :) The plate was put in front of us and my first thought was that they looked like little tiny dinosaur legs. My second thought was why didn't I have my camera. My third thought was that I would probably never order them on purpose. I made Glenn try them first. His face didn't scrunch up so I gave them a try. I thought they tasted more like muscles, which I do like, but chewier and messier to eat. I can now say that I have eaten barnacles and it was an interesting experience!

The photo is of my dragonfly light that we got at an auction last fall along with the matching table lamp. It really is much prettier in person. I have it hanging at the end of my almost finished remodeled kitchen. It looks fabulous! One day soon I will be posting some before and after photos of our house remodel. I just love dragonflies but haven't photographed any this summer yet. Hmmmm... I will have to fix that soon.
