Has been Grand

A quiet morning which was nice.  

Except for a wee drive down the road to photograph this old, but once very grand home built back in 1858.  Sadly, this has been left to the elements and has decayed over the years, many panes of glass broken, hay is now stored inside and I can imagine home to little critters and spiders etc. Set back from the road, I can imagine it sitting there in all its glory in its hey day.

I would have enjoyed going inside and doing some photography, but that wasn't possible being very well fenced which has the unwritten word.....do not enter!!!

A walk on Tahunanui Beach this afternoon, then a blip meet over coffee with  two lovely ladies - twigs & TMLhereandthere, so good to catch up with twigs again, and meet TML finally.  Of course as blippers do, there wasn't any shortage of conversation.  The time rang away with us all to quickly :)

I'm just home from a fabulous dinner at my nephew and partners home - she cooked an incredible Hungarian dinner, just superb.

We move on from Nelson tomorrow morning - heading to Murchison and blipmeets then on to Greymouth, but will watch the opening of the Games first.
