Anyone for cricket?

This handsome chap was jumping around at lunchtime today, shortly after we'd been admiring a candystripe spider on one of our bits of kit. Usually we just get inundated with field grasshoppers (hardly surprising given the er..fields...around).

he was such a looker I had to get up close and personal, there’s something about insects that truly is fascinating.

at least it’s a change from food pictures!!!
