Pay Day
Finished planting our customer's garden today. This is a really difficult garden to photograph to show you the whole layout, but did my best with my wide angle lens. Previously there was literally nothing there other than lawn and fences.
The new much extended patio now provides a large seating area under the shade of a large Catalpa tree from next door, and a sunny spot for the last of the evening sun in a corner pergola. A short brick-edged gravel path, leads under a pergola with brick detail below, through to the raised vegetables beds. A Holly has been planted just to the right of the pergola, so over time, the veg area will become less noticeable. The trellis around the veg area has been planted with several Clematis and and also Jasmine, to screen the veg area from the rest of the garden.
The planting includes about 30% evergreen shrubs, 20% deciduous shrubs, and the rest are perennials and grasses providing interest from March - October. The only thing left to add are bulbs, which can be done in November. It will look so different and fill out next spring as I know, having planted over 120 gardens this for the past 13 years.
A happy customer. Pay Day!
