Arches and more arches.

Today we headed for Wells for the second time within 10 days, with friends who had never visited Wells before. I never tire of this lovely little city, and today as always it was lovely. There was the weekly street market packed full of the most delicious locally produced food including a stall run by my daughters partner. He is Somerset Charcuterie and once again he sold everything he took!

We had a very pleasant lunch in the Bishops Palace garden Cafe whilst watching a Croquet match . So very English! After this we headed for the Cathedral where we spent a very cool and pleasant time wandering within this spectacular building. I tried to take some 'clever' shots, most of which were not as clever as I had hoped . However this one I liked . The beauty of the arches within the cathedral are never ending. Arches are everywhere and come in so many varieties . The view from the High Alter showed so many of them and just behind are the most lovely stained glass windows full of rich colours as the sunlight streamed through them. A sheer delight.

Farming - Two tractors and trailers on hauling compost, one turning and rowing up hay.
