long ago in the "voortyd" (the time before)
Here Willem Houtbeen (wooden leg) made and mended the villager's shoes.
I have always loved the peeling paint on these old doors and when this property was sold and renovated the new owners sensitively retained the lovely worn wood and simple character of the doors.
