Rattle
today was a bit of a blur of a poorly Master Pink and piles of washing. he took himself to bed tonight, asked me to read him a story ( a squash and a squeeze - Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler) and then collapsed into his pillow and five minutes later was asleep.
I took this picture of one of baby pink's rattles earlier in the day when I was playing with baby pink, while Master Pink was half asleep on the sofa. It's a beautiful rattle given to baby pink by her Grandma. It was bought at a craft fair, and the gentleman who made it told us how it was made from one solid piece of wood. There are no joins, no sticking or glueing, just turned on a lathe to make two seperate rings and a lovely smooth wooden rattle.
