The shy cygnet

Phew! another very hot day. We are not used to this kind of weather in Scotland.

Early evening walk around the Cocksburn reservoir where some people were swimming. Nw that is the first time I hae ever seen anyone brave enough to swim in our local reservoir but it was the pair of swans with their three cygnets that cught my eye, especially this little cygnet who kept sleeping.

Meanwhile we have launched our website Protect Park of Keir and Facebook page to oppose a big development of 100 executive housing and tennis centre etc, fronted sadly by two well known Scottish personalities Judy Murray, and Colin Montgomerie.
Our local paper the Stirling Observer gave the story very balanced coverage today.
