"Angel of the Resurrection"
This sculpture (also known as the Pennsylvania Railroad World War II Memorial) stands in Philadelphia's 30th Station, the main railway station in the city. It was designed by Walker Hancock and is in honor of those 1, 307 Pennsylvania Railroad workers who died in World War II. Their names our etched in alphabetical order on the four sides of the base on which the Angel stands. The statue was unveiled in the station in 1952.
Hancock's name has been in the news lately as he was one of the actual "Monuments Ment" about whom the recent movie was made.
