Small Hazel Trees -

I joined a group of volunteers to clear the nettles and goose grass
from some young trees which they had planted a few years earlier.

When we arrived at the site you could not see the trees, after
a lot of effort this pic shows our progress.
As we were in the nettles you had to wear gloves and long sleeves
so in the sun it was very hot.

We also attacked a rather large pink flowering plant which I
learnt was Himalayan balsam , it has become a real problem
in places and kills off other plants . ( I thought it looked rather
nice) but just goes to show I have a lot to learn over the next few years
