Hyacinth

Every spring I seem to be suckered into admiring and buying planted Hyacinth bulbs. Then when they open, there is such and incredibly strong smell and it drives me crazy after a few days.

On Sunday I bought this year's plant. It was just some sprouts out of the dirt. Today when I opened the front door I immediately knew the flowers had blossomed and they were far from the front door a few rooms away.

How long until I go into Hyacinth smell overload! Next year I will need to look back at this blip before buying.
